Resource Modeller

Resource Modeller has been developed for anyone working in Facilities Management who needs to estimate maintenance costs and labour requirements.

Resource Modeller enables the user to produce indicative annualised costs of maintenance, along with quantifying the actual planned preventative maintenance and resource requirements.

Calculate annualised labour costs with default rates or customised regional settings

With Resource Modeller you can:

    • Calculate annualised maintenance cost
    • Amend default task timings and costs
    • Generate labour costs
    • Add specialist service costs
    • Adjust site costs including materials, consumables, out of hours working along with reactive maintenance and management costs

Export maintenance costs to aid tendering and benchmarking

SFG20 Resource Modeller provides downloads of the maintenance costs in NRM or SFG20 format to use to set budgets for maintenance and to inform option appraisals during design stages.

The SFG20 resource Modeller solution facilitates breakdown analysis and comparison across:-

  • Asset groupings (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc)
  • Individual assets (AHU, lifts etc)
  • Site level
  • Building level

The tool also allows for detailing annualised costs / times split down by:-

  • Legal compliance (red tasks)
  • Function critical (amber tasks)
  • Discretionary PPM service levels (green tasks).

Aligned to the RICS’s
new rules of measurement

Resource Modeller has been aligned to the RICS’s new rules of measurement (NRM3), that is the industry accepted standard method of labour loading and costing of planned maintenance.

It has been designed to generate ‘order of cost estimates’ (using approximate quantities) and then more detailed ‘cost plans’, when the quantities of maintainable assets are available (during the detailed design and construction stages) or from the maintenance asset registers for any constructed assets.
