How SFG20 Mobiliser Works Alongside Facilities-iQ: A User’s Guide
Identifying the correct maintenance for your assets can be a mammoth of a task, especially if you have a large estate or multiple buildings.
What used to take weeks, months and even years for some organisations has now been significantly shortened down to a matter of moments.
At SFG20, the industry standard for building maintenance specification, we want to help you achieve building safety and compliance in the easiest way possible.
That’s why we’ve introduced SFG20 Mobiliser, an industry changing AI-powered tool which can be used alongside Facilities-iQ to bring down the manual labour involved with matching your assets to maintenance schedules by up to 95%.
Let’s look at how exactly you can use SFG20 Mobiliser alongside Facilities-iQ to take full advantage of the time, effort and money saving benefits that it brings.
How Does SFG20 Mobiliser Work Alongside Facilities-iQ?
We offer full training for using SFG20 Mobiliser, but here’s how it works in summary:
Step 1: Upload Your Asset Register
Within a few clicks, you can easily import your asset register, whether it’s in an Excel File format or COBie (Construction-Operations Building information exchange) if you’re working with a BIM model.
If you import multiple built asset registers, you’ll be able to see a unified view of all of your assets.
It’s great to know that SFG20 Mobiliser is suitable for asset registers of all sizes – it can readily handle millions of assets which drastically reduces mobilisation times and onboarding costs.

Step 2: Quickly Match SFG20 Schedules to Your Building’s Assets
Once you have uploaded your asset register, SFG20 Mobiliser can automatically map your assets to the correct SFG20 maintenance schedules.
It does this by not just looking at the asset descriptions, but also through NRM and Uniclass codes as well as a database that we have built containing manufacturer and model codes to aid with the correct identification.
Where asset information is missing, guidance through clarifying questions is provided to assign the correct mapping, however assets can always be mapped manually if needed.

Once you’ve mapped your assets, you can either download your asset register with SFG20 schedule codes appended or create one or more Maintenance Regimes.
Your activities can be optimised to focus on important assets and remove tasks that are not relevant or required for your building, such as non-statutory tasks on a non-critical asset.
This can significantly reduce the number of site visits and maintenance costs. You can also view how much time the remaining work will take by skill set or task criticality.

Step 3: Integrate (Optional)
Once your Maintenance Regime is optimised to your liking, you can use Facilities-iQ's API to integrate your maintenance regimes with your existing operational system(s) such as CAFM software.
If your chosen FM software provider hasn't integrated with us yet, don’t worry – you can produce Excel outputs of your Maintenance Regimes which you can then load into your FM system(s).
This will allow you to create your maintenance plan to carry out the required work.
